Who We Are

Boys Camp began in 1995, an Outreach America summer option, as both demand and interest within our organization began to grow. Parents and supporters of the ministry were becoming concerned about the young men of our country as they saw culture stray away from foundational Biblical values and masculinity itself was undergoing a revision outside the God-given confines. Boys Camp evolved into a counter-cultural return to foundational principles centering around the masculine spirit.

All of the sudden we found ourselves with a battle to fight.
And an army behind us.

Camp numbers exploded as we cultivated our program over the course of a couple decades. With the goal of putting deep, strong wisdom-laden roots in each and every camper through the primal call in every young man, a challenge, we started to see authentic change in boys.

They were free again.

So every summer we launch into what we affectionately call "camp season" to invest in and fortify the male soul with power that only comes through the truth of the Gospel. Christ is our program archetype.

Days at camp are full of activity. Whether it's a pick-up game at the basketball court, laughter in the dodgeball arena, or conquering fear on the paintball field, campers are constantly reaching out for more than they thought they were capable of. We run Word focused programs. Campers are challenged intellectually through verse and quote memorization daily. Camp evenings are saturated in the revelling of the story-telling from our founder, Gary Newell.

Ultimately, if it hurts we rub dirt on it, we don't apologize for standards, we treat one another as a brother in Christ, we build esteem, we jump from the top bunk, we fight…with pillows, we dare each other to eat things we know we shouldn't, integrity and character matter, we challenge, we push, we stand, we win.

We're boys.
